ADK presentation highlights hiking with goats

LAKE PLACID - The Adirondack Mountain Club will present "Goat Packing: Our Passport to the Back Country," a presentation by Don and Nadine McLaughlin, Saturday, March 6, 8 p.m. at their High Peaks Information Center at Heart Lake in Lake Placid. The presentation is free and open to the public, funded with support from Stewart's Shops.

McLaughlin moved to their Mountain View Farm in Jay in 1989. Since that time they've had many adventures on their farm and in the Adirondack wilds. In this slideshow presentation they'll share their camping adventures with their two goats, Frankie and Barney, and show how goats are not only legal in the Adirondack backcountry, but also make for a great pack animal.
