Learn to Think Like a Bee Workshop

A Learn To Think Like A Bee workshop will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. (snow date Saturday, March 6) at the Walpole Town Library.

The workshop will explore methods and equipment for keeping bees healthy in a way that is more like the way they live in the wild.

Youth Cooking Classes at Our Place

Our Place Drop-In Center is offering cooking lessons and nutrition education for young people through the Cooking for Life program beginning Tuesday, Feb. 23. The six-week course runs from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m. at the center at 4 Canal Street and is open to low-income youth ages 11 to 14.

Discounted Senior Lunch at Harvest Moon

The monthly discounted lunch for seniors sponsored by the Council on Aging for Southeastern Vermont and Main Street Arts will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Harvest Moon caterers on Main Street in Saxtons River.

Seating is limited so reservations are required and must be made by calling 869-2656 by Feb. 23.

Suggested donation for the meal is $3.50 for seniors. The lunch is offered the fourth Thursday of each month, with seatings between noon and 12:30 p.m.

Information about the lunch program is available by calling the Council at 885- 2655.

RFPL Hosts Financial Meltdown Talk

On Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m., the Rockingham Free Public Library presents the program "Financial Meltdown -- Causes and Cures" with Arnold Clift, former World Bank executive. Clift will give some straight talk on the precarious state of America's finances. For more information, call 463-4270.

Curves Sponsoring Area Food Drive

Curves is encouraging women in the local area to show their philanthropic strength by participating in the annual Curves Food Drive.
