News from the Rutland County Humane Society

This Valentines Day, fall in love with a new pet. We know we have the puurrrfect match for you. Dogs, cats and rabbits - we have them all! And they'll all provide great companionship and a lifetime of love. Our adoptable animals will be sure and snuggle with you and cuddle up to keep you warm. And they've got lots of love to give and will become the love of your life.

A 10 year old, neutered male, Alaskan Malamute weighing 60 lbs.

I am a lovely gentleman. I enjoy people and I am playful for my age and walk nicely on a leash. I was surrendered by someone on January 23 who could not take care of me after some personal tragedies in her life.

At 10 years old, I am definitely a senior citizen. I was diagnosed with a torn ACL ligament back in May 2009 that causes me to favor my back leg. I could stand to lose some weight and that would make it easier on me to get around. Torn ligaments can be repaired by surgery or they can be managed through careful exercise and supervising my interactions-no small kids, animals I could chase, or young rambunctious dogs.

Please feel free to ask if you would like more information. Oh-and I have truly classic howl which I will entertain people with if I get lonely.

A 4 year old, spayed female, domestic long hair black and white weighing 8 lbs.

My previous family had to surrender me to RCHS because they couldn't afford to take care of me any longer. I have lived with children and other cats and I like their company. As you can see I really like to hide in small places but don't let this fool you, I am a true lap cat with a motor to go with it.
