An Evening of New England Fiddle Tunes

Fiddle tunes New England style is the subject of fiddlers Jill Newton and Laurie Indenbaum's presentation at Main Street Arts Thursday, Feb. 11 as part of the Saxtons River community arts center's Taste of the Arts, Tales from a Community series.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a light supper provided by Harvest Moon caterers.

Newton and Indenbaum will share the tunes they have learned and played over 33 years of fiddling together for square and contra dances, parties and other festive occasions, and will add notes about the music's origins and styles.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children when accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required at least three days in advance. Tickets can be purchased through PayPal at www.MainStreetArts.org, by calling 869-2960 or e-mailing MSA@sover.net.
