Ti student playing on Plattsburgh squad

TICONDEROGA - Chase Dixon, son of Lance and Jodi Dixon of Ticonderoga, is a member of the Junior Cardinal youth hockey program, which plays in Plattsburgh.

The team was founded to provide area youth hockey players the opportunity to compete at an advanced level of play at the Tier II New York State Level. These select players are provided with instruction and taught techniques to further their hockey skills with the support of Bob Emery, SUNY-Plattsburgh men's hockey coach.

Dixon is a sixth grade student at Ticonderoga Middle School.

Dixon has 16 goals and 10 assists in 38 games this season. His team is 26-6-4, including a win against the reigning Vermont State champions, The Burlington Bobcats.

The Junior Cardinals will participate in state pre-sectionals this weekend in Saratoga Springs hoping to advance to state sectionals in Canton.
