History lives at Schroon school

SCHROON LAKE - Bob and Holly Bearor recently brought their 19th Century history program the Tracy Gath's fourth grade class at Schroon Lake Central School.

The children were taught French and Indian War history and what daily life was like during the period.

The Bearors have educated thousands of students throughout New York and New England with similar presentations.

Bob Bearor has authored five books on the FRench and Indian War. The Battle on Snowshoes was a national best-seller of Heritage Books, Inc. He has also appeared on BBC documentary films in Europe.

He is an appointed commissioner of the New York State French and Indian War Commemoration Commission.

The Bearors are retired and live in Schroon Lake.
