TICONDEROGA - The Ticonderoga High School Booster Club will hold its 2010 re-organizational meeting on Thursday, Feb. 25, at McDonald's restaurant at 7:30 p.m.
The club now meets for coffee at McDonalds once every two months. The goal of the meeting is to invite parents to continue with the goals of the club for the 2010-11 school year.
Chairwoman Lynne Lenhart will be stepping down in June 2010 and is looking to find parents and community members ready to continue with the booster club's tradition of supporting Ticonderoga Athletes and athletic programs.
The Booster Club has spent over $9,000 to assist the Ticonderoga athletes since 2006.
"It has been a pleasure to serve during these past six years and to work with a group of committed parents who are great advocates for the Ticonderoga Athletic program," said Lenhart. "I am proud of all that the booster club has accomplished, but it is time for me to move to a background role and let some new leadership come in with fresh ideas and input."
Positions to be filled for 2010 are two co-chairpeople positions and a secretary position. The club is also looking to fill various committees.
The booster club purchases gear, equipment and clothing items for the Ticonderoga varsity athletic program. These purchases are made possible by the club's annual fund raiser, the Great Cow Maneuver, held each fall during homecoming week.
