Man leaves scene of accident, shows up later

HUNTINGTON - On Jan. 23, at approximately 12:35 a.m., the Vermont State Police investigated a motor vehicle crash in the Town of Huntington. Troopers on the scene reported there was no one with the vehicle.

After further investigation, the operator, Wayland Ray, age 20, of Huntington, drove to the Vermont State PoliceBarracks in Williston to speak with troopers about the crash. While speaking with Ray, it was determined that he was intoxicated.

On Jan. 28, the Vermont Department of Health Laboratory confirmed that at the time of operation, Ray had a BAC of .086 percent. Ray was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County court on Feb. 18 for this offense.
