New regulations on outdoor wood boilers

ALBANY - The first phase of outdoor-wood-boiler regulation has been approved by the New York State Environmental Board.

The new regulations will require the new outdoor wood boilers that are installed after April 15, will burn 90 percent better than the older models, according to the The Department of Environmental Conservation. These regulations do not apply to wood boilers that are currently being used.
