Weird Al Yankovic built a large career for himself changing words of hit songs and re recording them. Creating an industry from nothing is impressive, Al's an extremely talented guy, but when I hear songs re written using the music and groove of an already well known song, I'm let down, I feel jipped, cause there's nothing easier than punching up someone's already fully fleshed out successful idea.
Below I'll change words to the first couple lines of familiar holiday songs and prove the point of how easy it is. If I can do it, any dolt can.
Once you get started on a theme with the first two lines changed, the rest comes even easier. So if you're wanting to complete an entire song, it'll be a cinch. You'll agree after you sing my samples.
*You may not nail the cadence of the original song using the new words I wrote, but if you go back over them a time or two and play with the groove, you'll find they all work perfectly right on the beat.
