WILLSBORO - The lady Warriors came out with the hot hand in the first quarter Dec. 7, outscoring Seton Catholic 15 to 8 enroute to a 37-31 win in non-league girls basketball action.
Amanda Mahoney pulled down 11 boards and added 6 points in the win, while Hannah Bruno led all scorers with 11 points, including one from 3-point range. Renee Marcotte and Serena Holland added 7 points apiece, while Kyli Swires added 4 and Renee Provost, 2.

Tupper Lake 15
LONG LAKE - It was a duel of two strong defensive teams Dec. 7 as the lady Orange hosted Tupper Lake in a non-league battle.
In the end, Carli Reynolds helped pace her team to a realtively easy victory behind a 20-point effort, including one from behind the arc. Reynolds also hauled in 6 rebounds.
Adding to the effort were Murphy Farrell and Allison Pine, who scored 6 points apiece.
Leading the Lumberjack scorers was Hunter Aldridge with 6 points and Carly Aldridge chipped in two.
Lake Placid 55
Moriah 18
MORIAH - Lake Placid had an easy go of it Dec. 8, defeating the lady Vikings 55-18 in in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action.
Megan Riley had the hot hand for the Blue Bombers, dropping 22 points, including the games lone 3-pointer. Mackenzie Kemmerer added 10 points, Stephanie Murphy nine and Ayla Thompson eight.
ELCS 32
Chazy 21
ELIZABETHTOWN - It was a defensive battle Dec. 9 between the Lady Lions and visiting Chazy with the Lions coming out on top 32-21 in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girl's basketball.
Shonna Brooks paces ELCS with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks and Kearstin Ashline added six points in the victory.
Westport 55
Wells 25
WESTPORT - The Lady Eagles came out strong Dec. 9, taking an 11-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, beating Wells easily 55-25.
Willa McKinley led all scorers with a game-high 19 points, and underclassman Brendee Russell added 10 points to pace the Eagles.
Christina Sherman added eight points, six assists and six steals, while Nancy Armitage grabbed 13 boards and added six points and Karlee McGee had four.
