The WCS students have talked about donating the proceeds to such charities as High Peaks Hospice, North Country Ministry, or House of Grace.

A food drive will also be held in conjunction with the event. Anyone who wishes to watch the marathon may do so in a portion of the marathon hosting spectators - between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.. Spectators will be asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items to be distributed to local food pantries.

during this portion of the event, gift baskets will be raffled, and proceeds will go to the Junior class and the school's good-conduct PRIDE program.

Entertainment for the event is to be provided by WZRT-FM 97.1 radio station, and to feature music provided by Chip Aldrich of Johnsburg, of After-Fx deejay service.

Participants will be eligible to win prizes based on the amount of donations they collect. Those local businesses or community members who wish to donate can contact Darlene Gordon at Warrensburg Central School. Stony Creek Library board meets, all invited

The Stony Creek Library Board of Directors meets the second Tuesday of each month. The general public, and all those interested in library activities - or in serving on the Library board - are invited to attend.

Massage and Body Boutique to open

A new massage therapy studio will soon open in the River Street Plaza in Warrensburg. The facility is located upstairs in the main building next to the River Street Plaza Hair Salon.

Launching this new enterprise, named Massage & Body Boutique, are Karen Belsteadt and Carl Duell, who were recently certified as massage therapists.
