The events occurred during the summer of 2009 but they were not disclosed until this year. The investigation culminated with Hogaboom voluntarily surrendering himself to authorities at the New Haven barracks on Wednesday morning. Hogaboom was subsequently arraigned at the Addison County Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court. Hogaboom was released on court imposed conditions following his posting of $5,000 bail.
