BALLSTON SPA - Navy Seaman James E. Martiny, grandson of Pat Labounty, Keeseville, recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline.
During the course with Nuclear Power Training Unit, Martiny received instruction about nuclear theory, chemistry, physics, reactor operations, safety and security. Upon completion of the course, Martiny qualified as a Naval nuclear operator.
Martiny is a 2008 graduate of West Orange High School, Winter Garden, Fla. He joined the Navy in September 2008.
