INDIAN LAKE - Indian Lake shone bright during the past couple of weeks as residents, business owners and organizations alike competed in the 4th Annual "Let There Be Light" Holiday Lighting Contest. The winners were release this week.
Participants lit up the town with festive lights and decorations as part of the 13th Annual Country Christmas Tour, combining the spirit of Christmas with the character of the Adirondack Park. The tour was held Nov. 26 and 27.
"The contest was created to enhance community pride, holiday spirit and to help kick-off the holiday season throughout the Town of Indian Lake," said organizer Brenda Valentine. "We want to send a special thanks to the contest sponsors, including Gadway Realty, Indian Lake Marina, Indian Lake Restaurant, Pines Country Store and an anonymous local business owner for their sponsorship."
Winners received monetary prizes of $200 for first place, $75 for second place and $25 for third place.
The "Let There Be Light" Holiday Lighting and Decorating Contest welcomed close to 50 participants this year. The tour steering committee wishes to thank the contest judges and the participants for making this year's event a success.
