The homeless animals at the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) would love to be added to your holiday list this year. Each ornament on the holiday tree in the RCHS shelter represents a different item the animals at the shelter need this holiday season. Stop by, pick out an ornament, purchase the item and watch the homeless animals howl and meow with glee. Some of the items on this year's wish list include animal bedding (new or used comforters, blankets and towels), HE laundry detergent, 13 and 33 gallon trash bags, bleach, pig ears, big rawhide bones, paper towels, gift cards to local pet merchants and soft chewy dog treats. RCHS is always in need of supplies for the animals and is grateful for your continued support. Please stop by the shelter, pick out an ornament and help the animals in our care. For more information please contact the shelter at 483.6700 or visit www.rchsvt.org. Thank you for remembering the homeless animals at the Rutland County Humane Society.
8 year old. Neutered Male. Yorkshire Terrier.
I am friendly little guy who likes to cuddle - can you say lap dog? I enjoy attention from people and am nice and easy to walk on a leash. I was a stray from Pittsford and I arrived here on November 19. I seem quite calm around the other animals at the shelter and I am looking for a home with kids 7 and up as my history with children is unknown.
5 year old. Neutered Male. Pit Bull mix.
If Lunker means chubby and chummy then I am perfectly named. I enjoyed living with a family and am kind of anxious here - whining and barking are my way of saying "Help". When with people here at the shelter I am quite tractable and I love to play FETCH. I hope that my new family will take my weight loss goals seriously - I could stand to drop about 10-15 pounds.
