Thanksgiving gatherings around town

Irene Hall of Hudson St. in Warrensburg enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with Kim and Keith Evans on River St. They all had a surprise phone call from Romania. Irene's great grandson Nathan Evans is going to college in Romania, and he called to wish his parents and grandmother a happy holiday.

Dot Maxam of Bowen Hill Road enjoyed the holiday with family members in Greenwich at the home of Jeffrey and Jean Hall and family. Her sister, Allie Hall of Hadley and Melissa and John Hall, also of Hadley, enjoyed time spent together on Thanksgiving with their Aunt Dot.

Paula and Russ Hubert of Combs Road decided to eat out at a restaurant in Queensbury! They enjoyed no dishes to wash!

A surprise call was received from former Thurman neighbor Randy Baker to say all was well in Alabama. He misses their friends but not the snow and cold weather.

Barb and Charlie Metzger of Sky High Road enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with their daughter and family Donna and Bob Herrmann and their children at their new home on South Johnsburg Road.

Nora and Marc Merkle and daughter Heidi of Luzerne hand delivered a delicious big dinner to their mom, Barb Keene, South Johnsburg Road on Thanksgiving and spent the day with her.

Doris Bunker of Drexel Road enjoyed the holiday with her daughters, Sue Moffitt, and Kathy and Kevin Clark from Pennsylvania in Fort Edward. Also spending the day were many grandchildren.

Leila Wood and many other family members gathered for a big Thanksgiving dinner at the Mud Street home of her daughter, Eileen Baker.

Karma and Ernie Smith of Cameron Road had a late Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday because the "boys" wanted to go hunting on Thursday. Her grandson Jerrod Smith and his friend both came home with a deer.
