Lake Placid Readies for Holiday Village Stroll Event Dec. 10-12

LAKE PLACID - On Dec. 10-12, the village of Lake Placid will magically come alive with a weekend of holiday festivities during the third annual Holiday Village Stroll. The Holiday Village Stroll Committee has been busy planning this destination weekend for Lake Placid and is very pleased with the increase in local participation and support for the 2010 edition.

As the annual event approaches, the Holiday Village Stroll Committee is offering a series of brief orientation meetings to discuss the weekend's festivities.

Each year, the Holiday Village Stroll gains more momentum, incorporating new activities, decorations and building wider community involvement. This winter, the event features new webpages and domain (www.holidayvillagestroll.com), as well as a logo, social media presence and PR effort. Price Chopper, Adworkshop, Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism/Lake Placid CVB/, State Farm Insurance, Lake Placid Business Association, and Coca-Cola are sponsors of this year's event.

Local businesses are encouraged to get involved and offer something unique to celebrate the community and promote the spirit of the holidays. Restaurant and store promotions for the weekend can be sent to Pam at ROOST/ Lake Placid CVB: pam@lakeplacid.com.
