TICONDEROGA - The fourth annual Santa Fest will be held in Ticonderoga.
The community holiday party has been planned by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Sunday, Dec. 5, 1-4 p.m. at the Community Building.
Santa Fest will feature a visit from Santa, refreshments and activities.
The event is free and open to the public, said Matt Courtright, chamber executive director.
Santa will meet with each child and have photos taken.
Last year's event drew a large crowd of children and adults to the Community Building.
Santa Fest will conclude the North Country Christmas. Sponsored by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, the North Country Christmas will be a week of holiday-related events in the community.
North Country Christmas was held Nov. 29 through Dec. 5.
The arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway "Holiday Train" kicked off the week Nov. 29.
Throughout the week there was a series of events, concluding this weekend.
"Shopping & Dining Night" will be held Friday, Dec. 3. Participating businesses will be open until 9 p.m. offering discounts and promotions. The list of participating businesses and specials will be available in the Nov. 20 Times of Ti.
The chamber office will also be open that night with complimentary refreshments.
The annual Museum Store, located at the Hancock House, will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Participating museums will be the Ticonderoga Historical Society, Fort Ticonderoga, Ticonderoga Arts and the Ticonderoga Heritage Museum. Each will offer a variety of items from their gift shops for sale.
"Holiday Movie Theater Night" will be feature Saturday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. in the Champlain Room of the Best Western-Ticonderoga on Burgoyne Avenue.
A yet-to-be-determined holiday movie will be shown on a large screen. Children are invited to come in pajamas with their favorite blanket. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children younger than age 16. Refreshments will be on sale.
