Kissing ball workshop

CHAZY - Haul out the holly and any other interesting bits of evergreen you might want to use at our fun family Kissing Ball Workshop! Continue a Christmas tradition from the Middle Ages and learn how you can make a kissing ball using pine branches and a potato. This event will be held at the Alice T. Miner Museum, Saturday, Dec. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For children ages 6-12 with adult help. The Alice will provide the base, branches, and pine cones, but participants can also bring their own materials such as boxwood, eucalyptus, holly, feathers, ribbon, dried flowers or silk flowers, ornaments or decorations already attached to wire.

The workshop will be limited due to space, so call 846-7336 for more information or to reserve a space.

The charge will be a $2 for each kissing ball to cover materials.
