NORTH RIVER - The North River United Methodist Church is bustling with activity this holiday season. All events are free and open to the public.
• Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. Jay Witham presents a Country Christmas Concert.
• Dec. 18 - 19 community members are asked to contribute cookies to be packaged for the Johnsburg Food Pantry's Christmas baskets. With more need for nutritional help this year, the Food Pantry will appreciate all donations toward assuring a special holiday meal for qualified recipients. Cookies can be dropped off at the Church either day. Church members will package them following the service on Dec. 19.
• Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. Christmas Service with special music and children's stories. There will be a visit from Santa following the service. All children in the community are invited to attend.
• Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve service. Note: there will not be a service at the church on Dec. 26.
