Holiday concerts planned throughout the region

CROWN POINT - Sounds of the season will fill area school auditoriums as the holidays approach.

Winter concerts have been scheduled at Ticonderoga, Moriah, Crown Point and Schroon Lake schools.

Ticonderoga Elementary School will hold its annual holiday concert Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m.

Moriah High School will also host its winter concert Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m.

Crown Point's high school musicians will present their annual winter concert Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m.

Ticonderoga Middle School will host its concert Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m.

Schroon Lake Central School students will present their annual winter concert, "December on Our Town," on Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Strand Theatre on Main Street at 2 p.m. Elementary students will perform first, followed by high school band and chorus.

That concert will be part of the 25th annual Old Tyme Christmas celebration which will be held in Schroon Lake Saturday, Dec. 11. The annual holiday celebration is sponsored by the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Moriah Elementary School students will perform seasonal music during their concert Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m.

Ticonderoga High School will host its winter concert Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m. It will include performances by the Sentinel Big Band, Night Shadows and Trebled Voices.

Crown Point elementary students will perform Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 1:05 p.m.

Student musicians will also take part in many community holiday events, including the annual senior citizen dinners in Ticonderoga and Moriah.

The annual Kiwanis-Ticonderoga Central School District senior citizen holiday party will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. in the elementary-middle school cafeteria. Snow date is Dec. 9.

The annual senior citizen Christmas party at Moriah Central School will be held Tuesday, Dec. 14, 4-6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Both events will feature turkey dinners. Reservations are not needed for either meal. There is no charge.

Concluding the student holiday entertainment will be the annual Ticonderoga Middle School Talent Show Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 8:25 a.m.
