Great to see The New York Football Giants battle back for a big win last week, especially with the depleted wide receiving corps and battered offensive line. Oh, and Philly, Dallas and Washington all lost, which made for a very lovely Thanksgiving weekend! I guess Sunday bird-watching with Buckshot will have to wait a few more weeks.
How heartbreaking was it to watch Buffalo receiver Stevie Johnson drop a perfect pass in the end zone that would have given the Bills a huge upset overtime win over the big bad Steelers? As bad as I felt for the guy, he's getting paid a boatload of money to make that catch.
Then there was the Corltand Finnegan/Andre Johnson fist-fight during the Titans/Texans game. It looked more like a hockey game, and I can't believe they only received a slap on the wrist from the league. If ever there was cause for suspensions, that was it.
Not a whole lot of movement at the top of our picking pack. Justin Bazil gained a game on leader John Gereau, who holds a three-game lead going into Week 13. I finally had a pretty good week at 13-3, but so did several others. It was young Taylor Goodspeed who posted the best record at 14-2.
Some good games on tap this week, and Sunday night's Steelers/Ravens, and Monday night's Jets/Patsies should be awesome. As much as I want to see the Jets win, I'm giving home-team advantage in both games. It'd be nice to see Detroit take out Chicago for the Giants' sake, but I don't see that happening. Of course, Big Blue will make Donovan McNabb's life miserable in a drubbing of the Deadskins.
GO BIG BLUE!!!
