Festival of Trees open house planned at Hancock House in Ti

TICONDEROGA - The Ticonderoga Historical Society cordially invites the community to the Hancock House, 6 Moses Circle, Ticonderoga, Sunday, Dec. 12 from 1 - 3 p.m. for the 20th Annual Festival of Trees Open House.

For 20 years the Festival of Trees has ushered in the Holiday Season with a festive display of trees decorated by local businesses, organizations, families and individuals. The trees are on exhibit on all four floors and provide a magical feeling to the Hancock House. Sunday, Dec. 12, the doors will open wide to welcome the community to the open house, a celebration of the season. The Historical Society offers this event to express its appreciation to all its members, friends in the community, volunteers and visitors for their support throughout the past year.

Stop in say hello, gather with friends, listen to beautiful holiday music in the parlor and enjoy scrumptious homemade goodies as we celebrate the season together. Enjoy the sights and sounds with us in a warm and festive atmosphere. Tour the magnificent building to view the many stunning and creative trees, make a stop in the Post Office Gift Shop to fill a Christmas list and take pleasure in the spirit of this wonderful time of year.

Ticonderoga Arts will have their gallery open and look forward to visitors. The winner of the 50/50 raffle will be chosen. We've also been told that Santa may stop by to visit those who have been not naughty, but nice! And as as the case last year, organizers plan to have another gift basket raffle.
