PLATTSBURGH - Lake Champlain Wines will host the fourth workshop in its "Grape Growing U" series covering pre-harvest crop assessment, bird and animal protection, and an analysis of the success of current canopy management.
The program will be held this Saturday, Aug. 28, at Elf's Farm Winery and Cider Mill, 7411 State Route 9, beginning at 1 p.m. The workshop is free of charge and open to all interested in grape growing and wine making. The program will include a discussion about cold hardy grape cultivars and wine making strategies.
