Terrariums focus of program

HAGUE - Terrariums will be the focus of the next Carillon Garden Club program scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19 at the Hague Community Center on Route 8 in Hague. The regular business meeting for members and guests will start at 11 a.m. with a lunch break about 12:15. Hostesses, Kathleen Holmes, Irene Ilaria, Sandie Jackson and Martha Soliday will supply the desserts and beverages. Guests and prospective new members are always welcome.

The program will start at 1 p.m. Attendees are reminded to bring a clear container, preferably glass, with a clear lid for the make and take project. Small rooted plants and/or cuttings to share will be appreciated.

The Carillon Garden Club meets monthly March through December and has 46 members. Club members are responsible for a number of beautification projects around Ticonderoga and Hague and hold an annual wreath sale to help support them. In addition, the club also holds a card and game party and luncheon in September each year to financially support youth projects and other club programs. For more information about the club, call Joyce at 585-2640 or Betty at 585-7247.
