Repairs coming for Route 22

WILLSBORO - The New York State Department of Transportation has announced work will begin soon on a pavement rehabilitation project on State Route 22 in the town of Willsboro.

The $2.2 million project will rehabilitate Route 22 from Station Road to Reber Road, a distance of approximately two miles.

The existing asphalt pavement will be recycled with new material and replaced on the road surface. Two additional layers of asphalt will be placed over this recycled pavement.

Culvert work will be included, either through replacement or rehabilitation. All guiderail will be replaced and two rock locations will be cut away from the road to improve visibility along the roadway.

Kubricky Construction Corporation of Queensbury, N.Y., is the primary contractor for the project.

The project is scheduled to begin construction in April with completion anticipated by November. Motorists can expect one-way, alternating traffic patterns controlled either by a temporary traffic signal or flagging operations.
