Plattsburgh State chamber ensembles to perform April 27

PLATTSBURGH - The State University of New York at Plattsburgh Music Department will present a concert featuring six of the department's chamber ensembles Tuesday, April 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in Hawkins Hall's Krinovitz Recital Hall on Beekman Street.

The audience will hear a varied selection of pieces performed by the Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Quartet, Brass Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Bass Ensemble.

Both student and community musicians play in the ensembles, directed by music faculty members Robin Cameron-Phillips (flute), Janine Scherline (clarinet), Daniel Gordon (saxophone), Herm Matlock (brass), Ellen Powell (bass), and Gabe Jarrett (percussion).

The concert is free and open to the public.
