Update on Haiti relief effort

The organizers of the locally-based Haiti relief effort thank all who contributed to and participated to benefit the victims of the Haitian earthquake.

This community relief effort, a town-wide evening which featured great socializing as well as generosity, was called "To Haiti with Love."

As of March 28, a total of $1,744 has been deposited in the Haiti relief account, and the money will help alleviate urgent needs including medical care, water supplies, food and housing.

Deep appreciation goes to the local businesses who donated food for the dinner: Lakeside Lodge & Grill, Cate's Italian Garden, Canoe Island Lodge, D. Brickman Produce, Carioto Produce, U.S. Food Service, Jacobs & Toney Meat Store of the North, and Sysco Foods.
