The "Celebrating the Good Works" house party will begin at 8 p.m. and will feature the musical styling of Dan Berggren, Peggy Lynn and Dan Duggan. These seasoned solo performers have combined to create a dynamic trio called Jamcrackers. They found their name in honor of the historical river divers who broke up log jams. The three blend folk, blues, ballads, gospel and dance tunes into their performances. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
Susan Dineen, marketing director at the Adirondack Museum stressed the "mixer-feel" of the event.
"We want people to come and go as they please and enjoy themselves while celebrating local non-profits," she said.
She also spoke favorably of the two-museum collaboration.
"We have enjoyed working with the Depot Museum," she said. "We both exist because of history, so it was a natural collaboration."
Nonprofit organizations interested in partnering with the museums are encouraged to call Michelle San Antonio at 251-5842 by April 16 to reserve a spot.
