MONKTON NEWS BRIEF-Vermont taxpayers will foot the bill to the tune of $150,000 to help salamanders and other critters cross the road in Monkton.

The Monkton Conservation Commission has received $150,000 in state funds to install culverts to help protect amphibians and other animals crossing a road at Huizenga Swamp.
