Women On Weights is a program I designed specifically for women focusing on issues that a lot of women face. It has become quite popular since the first sessions were held and there is a lot of interest and questions about the program.
Women On Weights is a progressive strength training program, which teaches women proper form and technique. This class focuses on building a strong core, balance, flexibility, and overall body strength. You will learn why weight training is important and how it can help to improve and/or prevent common issues women face like: Insomnia, osteoporosis, body fat, weakness, stress, poor balance, etc.
This class is not your typical group exercise class with music blaring and sweat dripping from a non-stop high-intensity workout. Instead I like to treat this class as a group personal training session where I go around and give everyone guidance to be sure the exercises are being completed with proper form. In this respect I do limit the number of people in each class.
The next session will begin Tuesday, April 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the City Recreation Department, 52 U.S. Oval, and will meet every Tuesday evening for 8 weeks. Since class size is limited, pre-registration is required. The cost of the class is $80 for the full session. To pre-register for the class, contact me directly at 605-3549.
