Local museums to host special event

NORTH CREEK - The North Creek Depot Museum and the Adirondack Museum are jointly hosting a nonprofit event on Saturday, April 24 from 8 - 11 p.m. at the Tannery Pond Community Center. The party is part of a larger effort across the Adirondacks called "Celebrating the Good Works!" developed by the Adirondack Nonprofit Network (ANN) and North Country Public Radio (NCPR.) On that evening, organizations will host events around the region, and NCPR will broadcast a special music program during which participating organizations will be featured with on-air mentions and brief call-in segments. The goal of the night is simple: To increase awareness of nonprofit organizations and the good works they do within the Adirondack North Country Region. The party in North Creek will feature live music, food and drink, and is free to attend. Nonprofit organizations in the Town of Johnsburg area interested in partnering with the museums are encouraged to call Michelle San Antonio at 251-5842 by April 16 to reserve a spot.
