"I served on various marketing committees, including Lake Champlain Region Marketing Committee and Champlain Valley Heritage Network, with the past director and I will continue to do so," Brassard added. "I also feel my experience with business assistance will be a valuable tool."
The new chamber director also has a commitment to the area.
"I was born and raised in Moriah and haven't strayed very far; I live next door to the family farm," Brassard said. "My son Thomas works at International Paper Co. and I have two grandsons, TJ and Derek, who at the moment are both highly absorbed in playing football at Moriah Central School. I am an RSVP volunteer, I work on various town improvement projects and my main hobby is NASCAR racing, of which I am a huge fan."
