TICONDEROGA - The Lake George Association has collaborated with Adirondack photographer Carl Heilman to produce a 2010 calendar, featuring images of Lake George, that will benefit the 124-year-old non-profit's work.
Proceeds from sales of the calendar, made through the LGA, will go to support the conservation group's Lake Saving Programs and Projects.
The upcoming release of Heilman's new book, Lake George, was a major factor in the LGA's decision to work with Heilman again on the calendar.
"The LGA has worked with Carl many times before on projects, including our first calendar back in 2005," said Walt Lender of Ticonderoga, the LGA executive director. "Carl's photos of Lake George are some of the finest you will ever see. He is a great ambassador for the lake and the Adirondacks, and he is a great supporter of the LGA's work protecting Lake George."
Lender added that the LGA hosted a successful event earlier this summer at Canoe Island Lodge, celebrating the release of Heilman's new book.
"The timing presented great opportunities, from a marketing standpoint," said Lender. "It is such a win-win situation for the LGA and for Carl, that the decision to collaborate was really a no-brainer."
The calendar is available for $14, plus shipping and handling. To purchase the calendar, contact the LGA office at 668-3558.
Previews of all of the images used in this calendar can be seen on the LGA website: www.lakegeorgeassociation.org
