There was art on the streets in Bellows Falls last week when Gretchen Schmid displayed several of her recent paintings in front of the Windham Hotel building. Schmid is one of the artists living in the Exner Block, and her work includes portraits and landscapes in a style that combines realism, impressionism and abstract painting.
