Positive Discipline Parenting Program

Positive Discipline: The First Three Years, the popular six week parenting group, returns to the Springfield Area Parent Child Center Mondays October 26 through November 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Parenting the Positive Discipline way is an investment in the present and future parent-child relationship. Using the Positive Discipline approach during the first three years of a child's development lays the foundation for raising a capable and confident child.

Each developmental milestone poses new challenges for parent-child teams to conquer. In the group, parents learn to read children's cues and to pair their discipline strategy with the developmental age and capabilities of individual children. Parents discuss how to encourage the autonomy of children within boundaries that keep them safe and set them up for future success.

All parenting groups at the SAPCC are held in both a fun and relaxed environment.

Free child care provided on a limited basis- please call ahead.
