MINERVA - The cold and snowy days of winter are coming. The Town of Minerva is preparing by doing a major rehabilitation of its cross-country and snowshoe trails at the Minerva Winter Recreation Area at Minerva Lake.
The trails have been in place since the 1990's and were originally constructed by a dedicated group of volunteers - they are now receiving a much-needed facelift.
Town employees Robbie Kohrman and Paul Clickner have been working hard to clear and update the trails, including a major reconstruction of two bridges that cross the Minerva Lake outlet creek.
Additional trail markers and signs will also be posted to help the public enjoy the cross-country and snowshoe opportunities that winter provides.
Thanks to the Town of Minerva for putting this rehabilitation effort into the trails for the benefit of all Minerva residents and visitors.
