Local band GMP, with Mark Grieco, Tim Morton and Jesse Peters, will play a Halloween party at McCliment's Pub in Putney on Halloween Night, October 31 from 9 p.m. until closing. There will be prizes throughout the night and a costume contest at the break. There is no cover charge.
The band plays a mix of covers and originals, the latter penned by Saxtons River native Peters. Playing in a stripped down trio format, GMP favors up-tempo, danceable tunes with a definite groove. The artists they cover include Los Lobos, The Police and Stevie Ray Vaughn, to name a few. GMP have been playing locally over the summer at such local watering holes as PK's Pub in Bellows Falls and Pleasant Valley Brewing in Saxtons River, to rave reviews.
