On Thursday, October 15 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Weston Rod & Gun Club, all are invited to attend a community pork supper to benefit the Londonderry-based Neighbors Food Pantry and Fuel Fund.
"This could be a tough winter for many people since requests are already coming in for fuel assistance," said supper organizer Bob Yuengling.
"Based on the September food pantry usage we can expect an increase demand for help all winter."
Sponsored by Weston's Old Parish Church (OPC), the menu will feature pork loin along with roasted potatoes, butternut squash, applesauce, apple crisp and a beverage.
Service will be buffet-style. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12, with younger children admitted for free.
Tickets are available at the Village Green Gallery or at the door. Takeouts will also be available.
Non-perishable food items and donations will also be appreciated. For more information, please call Bob Yuengling at 824-3704.
