On Saturday, October 17, at noon, The Killarney Irish Pub and Restaurant of Ludlow will be hosting a golf scramble at Springfield's Crown Point Golf Course.
Sixty-five dollars will get you 18 holes of golf, free beer, salad, choice of prime rib, Chicken Jameson or fish and chips, and a good feeling from knowing that a portion of your entry goes to helping Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Research Hospital and the Jimmy Fund.
And for another $10, take the Killarney shuttle to and from the event and enjoy your beers without the responsibility of driving.
The First Killarney Open is another of many charitable initiatives by Killarney owner, Mark Verespi.
In particular, it is the second effort to support waitress Lisa Marks' long-term commitment to raising funds for Dana Farber and their Innovative Cancer Research.
