'Save Energy, Save Dollars' workshop set

WARRENSBURG - Cornell University Cooperative Extension Warren County is holding a free workshop Thursday Oct. 22 on how to save on heating costs this fall and winter season.

The session, is to be held from 10:00 a.m.to noon at the Village Green Apartments' community room, 1 South Delaware in Glens Falls. The event offers information from the state's HeatSmart NY Save Energy, Save Dollars initiative.

The program will explore low- or no-cost ways to reduce electricity and home fuel bills. Participants will identify specific action plans that will work for them and save money. Attendees will receive a free energy savings kit valued at $15. HeatSmart NY workshops are sponsored by the state Energy Research and Development Authority.

Although there is no charge to attend the workshop, pre-registration is required by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension at 668-4881 or 623-3291.
