Blood drives slated in Ti

TICONDEROGA - The American Red Cross Blood Services, New York-Penn Region, will hold two community blood drives during the month of October in Ticonderoga.

American Legion Post 224, will host a blood drive 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Ticonderoga High School will hosta blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 585-6661 for information.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended. Call 1-800-GIVE LIFE (800-448-3543) or visit donatebloodnow.org to make an appointment to donate blood.

Individuals who are at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in New York), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Identification is required at the time of donation.
