Unique climbing center to open soon

During its first week of operation, the Crux will host a series of special programs for its newest users. The weekend of Dec. 5 and 6 feature free climbing all day. Monday, Dec. 7 will be Women's Night, where women climb for free from 5-9 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 9 is Two-for-One night from 5-9 p.m. when climbers can bring a friend, buy one pass, and get a second pass free. Friday, Dec. 11 is Kids' Climbing Night from 5-9 p.m. when parents can buy one kid's climbing pass and receive one adult pass for free.

Saturday, Dec. 12 Michelle Maron, certified Kripalu Yoga instructor from Lake Champlain Yoga Arts, will teach a yoga class from 10-11:15 a.m. that will focus on strengthening and stretching the shoulders, arms and legs. Participants in the $10 class will be able to climb for free the remainder of the day.

Sunday, Dec. 13 is Learn to Climb day where participants can receive a free climbing lesson at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. and spend the rest of the day climbing and practicing at no cost.
