Minerva Community Bazaar marks 44th year

MINERVA - The 44th Annual Minerva Community Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 7:30p.m. Friday Dec. 4 at Minerva Central School. The bazaar this year is being organized by Minerva Services Organization assisted by representatives of the various community organizations.

The Class of 2011 will be serving dinner with dessert in the cafeteria from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Cozy Caf , run by Student Council members, will be serving free hot chocolate all evening. The lighting of the Christmas tree, sing- a-long and the arrival of Santa Claus will start at 5:45 pm.

Items offered for sale by local organizations include memory tree memorials, baked items, fudge, handcrafted wares, fresh wreaths and gift baskets. Activities include a cookie walk, a mini Chinese auction, grab-bags for children, and many drawings and door prizes, starting at 5 p.m., featuring distinctive gift items.

Operation Santa Claus is asking for donations of gift wrapping paper, tags, tape, and ribbon and holiday gift bags to give to families receiving gifts from the group.
