Silver bells are ringing in the holidays at Elizabethtown-Westport Garden Club's annual Greens Tea, which will be held on Friday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Elizabethtown at the UCC (Stone Church) Parish Hall on Court Street. This garden club tradition has served the community for 55 years with all proceeds being donated to Elizabethtown Community Hospital, North Country Life Flight, High Peaks Hospice, and EMS services in Elizabethtown-Lewis, Essex, Moriah, Willsboro and Westport.
Club members have been busy for months working on the details to make this year's event successful. A luncheon tea with soup, sandwiches and dessert will be served for $6. Get a head start on your holiday shopping for crafts, jewelry and home baked goods. Wreaths, sprays, greens, house plants and festive decorations for your home and office will be available in the greens room. There will be a door prize and a large benefit drawing for theme baskets that have been donated by club members and the community. For more information call 873-6493.
