Over the fence

It has been an odd month of November so far with some pretty cool days and frosty nights and then we jump to 60 degree days and lows of 40. What's going on here? All this was by Nov. 18 - But our woolly-bear caterpillars are telling us we may see snow before turkey day. I guess that many of our neighbors did not have to go to Florida for warmer weather this year.

The Gleanings program, which provides free food for those in need, will be held at the town hall on Tuesday Dec. 1, starting at 10 a.m. Please bring clean used bags to take the goods home.

To learn of the Extra Helpings discount food program which comes once a month, Call 623-9649. These packages have meats, vegetables, pastas - and the cost is low.
