Village to hold meeting on restoration project Monday

ROUSES POINT - The village of Rouses Point will hold a public information session on the Delaware and Hudson Railway Station restoration project Monday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rouses Point Civic Center meeting room.

The Project Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from the village and the Rouses Point/Champlain Historical Society, will give an update on the restoration project, including progress to date and the timeline for design and construction.

The Project Advisory Committee is currently gathering information and photos on the building's history. The committee hopes community members will share their photos of the interior or exterior to help guide the project designers in the restoration. The committee will be glad to scan photos and return the originals to their owners.

Pictures and information on the building can be brought to the meeting or forwarded to Melissa McManus, revitalization project manager, at melissamcmanusllc@gmail.com.
