WESTPORT - The Westport Central School District is seeking a candidate to fill the reamainder of one five-year term vacancy on the Board of Education, which will expireJune 30, 2011. The seat is vacant due to the resignation of Kathleen Carter-Martinez.
Petitions are available in the District Office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Nov. 23. Petitions must be returned no later than 4 p.m. on Nov. 23.
The Board of Education election will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 22 from noon through 9 p.m. in the lobby outside the Bulles Auditorium. For further information, contact Jana Atwell, district clerk, at 962-8244.
