UHRR had scheduled a special trip to 1000 Acres in Stony Creek on June 3 and 4 during Americade.
Even more discontent over the project was fostered earlier this month when supervisors realized that Upper Hudson was not obligated to frequent the newly constructed train platforms at Hadley and Stony Creek. UHRR officials said that only special bookings will lead to trips to either platform.
"I am sick and tired of us getting blasted over the cost of these platforms," Luzerne Supervisor Eugene Merlino said.
However, many upcounty supervisors say that the project has positive economic potential and that the county is in to deep to turn back now.
The Warren County Board of Supervisors DPW Committee adopted a resolution to fix the tracks and sought an emergency designation for the repairs to expedite the project.
